Join us on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the Labor Studies Awards Celebration as we honor student accomplishments, recognize leaders and organizers in our community, and raise money to support the Bridges Center programs. Dinner and drinks are provided

About Harry Bridges Center
In 1992, an unprecedented grassroots fundraising effort established the Harry Bridges Endowed Chair in Labor Studies in memory of the legendary founding president of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union. One thousand union members and their friends gave $1,000 each, creating the only endowed chair in the United States to honor a labor leader.
Over thirty years later, the Chair has grown into the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies, a full-fledged program dedicated to education and research about workers and their organizations. The Bridges Center annually enrolls hundreds of students in its labor classes, awards over $100,000 in scholarships and research grants, and provides students hands-on experience in the labor movement through student internships.
