Join UW Tacoma for an inspiring community conversation exploring how education, workforce partnerships, and community collaboration can expand opportunity and economic mobility for learners across our region. Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Patton Garriott, Professor of Counseling Psychology and Director of the Education and Career Equity Lab at the University of Denver, this event will examine how community cultural wealth shapes educational and career success. The program will also include remarks from Chancellor Sheila Edwards Lange, a moderated discussion with regional leaders, and opportunities to connect with educators, employers, nonprofit organizations, and community partners. Together, we will explore innovative strategies for strengthening pathways to college, careers, and long-term economic prosperity. Light refreshments will be provided. Accessibility: For accommodation requests, please contact Amanda Figueroa, Associate Vice Chancellor for Social Mobility at ambruner@uw.edu at least 10 days before the event.
