2026 UW Family Summer Sendoff Series

Welcome to the UWFamily!

Hosted by current UW families and supported by UW staff and students, come join us for UW Family Summer Sendoff.

These fun and welcoming gatherings offer a chance to connect, celebrate, and feel part of the Husky community—before the first day of class.

Dates and Locations

• August 29, 2–5pm: San Diego — Scripps Ranch
• August 30, 2-5pm: LA Area — Westside
• September 5, 1–4pm: Houston (Meyerland), TX

What to Expect
Held at local venues and family homes across the country, Summer Sendoffs are designed to help you:

• Meet incoming huskies and families like you!
• Share stories and ask questions with experienced Huskies
• Enjoy light refreshments and casual conversation
• Staff and alum with current families may be there to help answer your questions

These free events are open to guests of all ages, but advance registration is required for every attendee—including your new Husky.

After You Register
You’ll receive a confirmation email, a week before your sendoff,  a “Know Before You Go” message with directions and day-of details.
